Sledging

I get when it's appropriate to say we went *sledging* instead of *sledding* -- when you reach a certain age and your body hurts extra much as a result of sledging and keeping up with the kiddos. :-) The "g" sound implies injury and beating and mangling of body when you're over 40, right? :-0 It was worth it, though, and to be honest some of the pain can be attributed to shoveling the driveway and sidewalks so we could leave the house to sledge!

We had a ball. And technically this was Hendrix's first time on some big hills! The kids got to go down many many times, one trip down after the next for about 45 straight minutes. We agreed we could only hang in for a few more times when Hendrix asked to go potty in his diaper that would need changed. I convinced him that if we leave to take care of potty, we just need to leave. He argued for a sec but caved in when he knew he didn't want to sit in a dirty diaper for long.

On the way home we decided Zane could go to school on Monday and tell about his physics lesson for the day -- after being out of school for 3 straight days because of subzero temps and about 6 inches of snow, it was important we aimed for some type of intentional learning. :-)
