K's a Wrap

Zane took his first ride on a big yellow bus to go to the Columbus Zoo. He did well. No big deal. :-) Daddy met him at the zoo.
We had a fun end of the year party with his classmates, in the learning garden. The kiddos were thrilled with ice cream sundaes, cupcakes, suckers, candy, fruit snacks and juice. Zane really enjoyed his time with Mrs. Stolly. We'll miss her but hope she's still around for Hendrix.
Zane's first field day started with a chilly fifty-two degrees, but the kids didn't care. At dinner when we asked Zane his favorite part of field day, with no hesitation he replied "The water games!"
Zane's 5th grade Mikey was sure to give farewells for now. Zane loved his time with Mikey. And Mikey couldn't have been a better mentor than he was.
And what a precious moment -- one last later gator for now!

Thinking Ahead

I like that she shared this note with Mr. Ensign. I hope she doesn't mind that I took a picture of it.

Holding Rainbows

(pic from beginning of April)

This guy. He's been full of rainbows from before we knew he existed. What a blessing and what a direction for God to take us. . . so blessed . . .

Ghostly

I love how uniquely Hendrix grabs onto his towel to pull around his shoulders to hold closed -- like one of those things you teach your kids but he gets all on his own.

By Chance

Zane's top two front teeth feel a tad bit loose. Last week he asked me to feel. I did. He started worrying about any chance of them falling out in his sleep. His dad and I assured him that they are still a couple of weeks from coming out. He walked out of the room and returned. Wiggled one a little more and said "I believe there's a ten percent chance I'm losing this tooth tonight."

We're still holding out. :-)
