End of Summer Adventure (Part 2)

Our first stop was Sandstone Falls. It is more developed than 18 years ago but we still visited during a lot of development taking place, which required lots of patience. The Visitor Center is new since we last visited. Currently you have to drive 10 miles south of 64, through Hinton, WV, and back up 10 miles along a mostly one lane road. They are paving and building new roads, and while stopped for construction one of multiple times, the worker told us they are working on a 2-year project where there will be a new bridge on the west side and north end of the river, by 64, so tourists can go the much easier route. It's a beautiful area and we can't believe it's taken this long for many to catch on!

While here, Hendrix yelled at the falls and got almost uncontrollably excited about getting to them. So Hendrix and I played in a rock bed while Vanessa, Zane and Daddy walked up to the edge of the falls.
