Celebrate

Zane said, while waving his flag, "Happy Birthday, Merica!"
"If all the raindrops were lemon drops and gumdrops, oh what a life that would be. Standing outside with my mouth open wide -- Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah . . . "

Appropriate lyrics for a parade with showers of rain and candy.

By the end of the day, before showers and a change into jammies, and fireworks, the kids wanted to share what they practiced. I wish we recorded their vibrant practice, but at least Daddy got something! :)
We loaded up, with donuts in hand, and watched the fireworks from a parking lot. We made it home in a couple of minutes of the finale, and the kids went straight to bed -- after a jammed packed day, that was so nice . . .
