Huntington Beach, SC -- Day 1

With a little later departure than we hoped, the kids traveled well. Yes, they asked over and over "Are we there yet?" But overall, it was good.
Empty but an exciting campsite! We got there about 6:45 and had a small window to check out our surroundings, pitch a tent and cook dinner.
Around the corner and through a thicket of trees and marsh with boardwalk and over a few dunes, we discovered the beach.
The kids and I hung at the beach longer so Daddy could pitch the tent and unload the van. The kids noticed his sweat from hard work. The evening went pretty well aside from the moment Zane freaked as a huge insect flew up to his flashlight. He ate his dinner in the tent.
We had a full moon. And the raccoons were friendly. :-)

How does your garden grow?

Go Out

It's always hard to send a child into the world. But how can I worry when God blesses her with amazing ladies like the ones above. God continues to bless us with putting her in good hands. I pray she is always surrounded and cared for by those who love and get her and strive to nurture her.
Inside joke: MUNCH!

Zane's Trip to COSI

Zane and I squeezed in one more solo trip to COSI to meet friends before Vanessa wrapped up the school year. To soon the time will come when he's no longer allowed in KidSpace. Vanessa is jealous he gets to play in there with all the newer stuff.
Oh gee. Now I see more of his dad. :-) The Saturday morning dad.
No one has told him that you shouldn't put baby through an x-ray . . .
He seems to know how to use this phone. Perhaps it is more intuitive than I thought, :-)
This boy reaches the target almost every time!
I hope the rest of COSI enjoyed his lovely singing as much as I did . . .
