He takes me there. To beyond. I see such sweetness in his smile. His constant glow. Love. He's 6 now. Wow. 6. My baby boy is growing into an amazing young man. I'm so thankful.

Hanging Alone
When your child wants to spend time alone . . . (I'm pretty sure I heard him talking to himself . . .)

O-H-I-O
"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." ~ Proverbs 22:6
Hendrix loves Brutus. Scarlet and gray are flowing through his veins. He wears his Buckeye apparel to display his natural Buckeye love. He attended his first tailgate on September 10.
And instinctively he knows to chew up blue and spit it out.

Them Apples
Who doesn't pick them apples wearing a cheetah tail?
That cheetah tail!
I like them apples!
Hendrix loves them honeycrisp apples!

Lucky Duck
Zane was Lucky Duck this week. He wasn't sure he liked the attention. It was hard being in the spotlight. But I think he would agree there were highlights in his week. There was in mine.
Lucky Duck gets all sorts of liberties. He chose an item to buy lots of to put in the classroom estimation jar. (He chose 88 erasers.) He chose to share 5 pictures that told about him. He got to sit in a really cool chair. And I got to read to his class. Gee, really I feel like the lucky duck!

A Hand In It
Hendrix started foods a few weeks ago, about the time the kids started school. We all had a hand in giving him his first bites.

Mommy and Zane
Pic is from a few weeks ago, but still just as meaningful. This little guy has done amazing transitioning to allday K. He's getting tired, though, and needs a little extra encouragement. He's lucky to have such caring and older friends at Avery, besides his sister. They cheer him on and joke and play with him.
This week he's been missing me extra much. I miss him too. He placed my pocket cross coin in his pocket today, to touch and remember God's always with him and will carry him through when he's worried and unhappy, and that he can say a quiet prayer to ask Him for help. He also wore my initial pin on his jean shorts today, to touch and look at to remind him that Mom is always close in thoughts and prayers.
He's so very dear to me. He has such a loving and kind heart.
