time-out

(Just one place where a mom and dad can be kids too.)

When craziness and so forth erupt and kids can't seem to settle, we know it's time for a time-out with mom and dad. It's evident that sometimes they need us to focus all of our attention on them and to not have to share us with anyone or anything else. The kids love celebrating friends and others in places like this, but there's something different when we go with just mom and dad. The impression seems to be more incredible and everlasting.
We try to make it a point to take a big time-out for family at least once a week. And even if we can't always afford the costs for a place like this, we're certain we can afford the time-out. We're extra grateful and satisfied when we do.
What's more perfect than a toddler having time to release aggression and energy with a hammer?! And the result is a little faster than with a tree trunk and nails out back.
Who needs points? Getting the ball to the gutter is quite rewarding! Zane loves ski ball as much as Vanessa always has.

During our visit a couple of weeks ago, Vanessa played games to earn tickets for prizes. She doesn't always. But on this occasion we were determined to use all of our collection of coins from previous visits, and we did. I think it was our first time to 250!
