Vanessa was fortunate enough to get a chance to play and visit with some of her other cousins! These are my oldest brother's children. Left to right: Ben, Hannah, Andrew and Zach. They are so great with Vanessa and shower her with lots of hugs and kisses and are always sure to keep Vanessa out of trouble. (I'm posting two pictures since Ben's eyes are closed in one. I know he'll thank me. :)

Standing and Climbing
I'm finally posting some pictures of Vanessa doing her new tricks. I haven't been able to take one of her trying to climb stairs. Maybe this weekend . . .

What a gorgeous day!!!!
I have to share some pictures of Vanessa enjoying the beauty of yesterday, and her first time in shorts! (She was able to wear onesies and a few jumpers last year, but not many.) Maybe we'll get another walk in today, between showers . . . (fingers crossed!)

8 Months
Vanessa turned eight months old yesterday. We enjoyed the day playing outside. Vanessa is very mobile and daring. She tries to climb everything no matter how big. She gets very frustrated when she can't accomplish a task. She likes to dance and will kick her legs to do more. Although her voice is still sweet and soft at times, she's decided she likes to use her yelling voice a whole lot. When we walk by a person, even if we don't know them, Vanessa often yells out at them. For such a petite little girl, she sure has a big voice. :) She enjoys playing in her bedroom more. She's making a funny new face where she squints while smiling really big. She often crawls over to me when she's tired or hungry and pulls up on my legs. She's eating lots of different foods. She's had beef, chicken and ham and seems to like ham the most. She likes to pick up and eat Gerber puffs. Her hair is getting a tad longer in the back. No teeth still. She’s decided she really likes giving kisses. We’ll be sitting there and she leans over and gives me a big open kiss, just out of the blue. She gets really excited to see Daddy and will cry out when he leaves her sight.
We’re looking forward to lots of days outside. I’m anxious for the ground to dry out a little bit so Vanessa can crawl all over the yard.
