Vanessa Goes to Washington

With all the hustle and bustle in Washington D.C., and the long return trip still ahead, Vanessa didn't quite make it to Capitol Hill to share her thoughts on the oil spill dilemma, but she did get to play and run in National Mall. Our time there allowed her to release any leftover vacation energy before getting back in the car for a 7 to 8 hour drive home.

We took a great family vacation to Bethany Beach, Delaware. We'll share more about our trip over the next several posts. I figured it was best to share in reverse -- who wants to end on a bad note (the end of vacation)?! Plus, Daddy didn't much like any delay that Washington D.C. provided, making it the least enjoyable moment of our time away. It was also Mommy's first time to D.C., and enough of an experience that she doesn't have the desire to go back unless made to chaperone a future school visit, for which Daddy happily nominated her for. :)
